Years ago when traveling through Cambodia, a young local girl taught me how to fold an origami heart dollar. She did not have a lot of money, but she insisted I keep the dollar nonetheless as a gift. Today, I continue to fold heart dollars and give them away often, with hopes to “pay it forward”. For 2018 my goal was 365 one dollar bills, I folded them as the year went along. I gave them to homeless people, or in donation jars, with the tip at restaurant, etc. I believe that small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the world.
